Dates for your diary: Things to do in Leeds in February

February might be the shortest month on the calendar, but that doesn’t mean there’s any less to do in Leeds! Whether you fancy opera, rock, or even the drama of darts – Leeds has you covered – no wonder we have so many people looking for places to stay in Leeds city centre!

Have a look at what’s happening in the city this month:

February 5th – Premier League Darts @ Leeds Arena

Darts is one of those sports that seems to be having a real uprising in popularity in recent years, and we’re sure that this event at the Leeds arena will be no exception! February 14th – Valentine’s Day

Will you be taking your special someone to dinner & a show at one of Leeds’ fantastic restaurants or theatres? Or perhaps you’re single and you’ll be heading to one of the city’s bars or clubs to try to find a special someone? Or maybe if you’re very lucky – you’ll be off to see the Kaiser Chiefs!

 

February 14th – Kaiser Chiefs @ Leeds Arena

Ricky Wilson will be taking a break from his spinning chare on the BBC’s ‘The Voice’ to get back to doing some singing of his own as the Kaiser Chiefs come to Leeds Arena. With all the big hits from their back catalogue plus new material, The Kaiser chiefs are selling out fast, so act quickly if you still need tickets!

February 17th – Jesus and Mary Chain @ o2 Academy

After a recent return to the stage with their classic 1985 debut album, ‘Psychocandy’, The Jesus And Mary Chain tour in celebration of the album’s 30th anniversary – this promises to be a great night for fans old and new alike, so don’t delay – book your tickets!

 

February 21st – St Petersberg Symphony Orchestra @ Leeds Town Hall

Fans of classical music are in for a treat as conductor Alexander Dmitriev leads this wonderful orchestra in pieces by Sibelius, Tchaikovsky & Shostakovich. There is also a pre-concert talk, which is free to ticket holders, but space is limited so do arrive early to avoid disappointment. Book your tickets here.

 

February 24th – The Script @ Leeds Arena

Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power, collectively known as popular Irish band The Script, are coming to the Leeds Arena hot on the heels of their fourth album album release – ‘No Sound Without Silence’. Don’t miss out, book tickets sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

 

February 27th – Levellers @ Leeds Town Hall

The Levellers are bringing a full night of entertainment to Leeds Town Hall – fans will start by watching their documentary film ‘A Curious Life’, followed by an acoustic performance by the band – not to be missed!

 

February 28th – Leeds Festival Chorus @ Leeds Town Hall

The Leeds Festival Chorus with Royal Northern Sinfonia promises a varied programme of performances from Bibi Heal, Julia Doyle, Kathryn Rudge & many other talented voices. Tickets are available here.
