Dates for your diary: September

Summer may be starting to slide into Autumn, but that doesn’t mean the City of Leeds shows any signs of slowing down. As one of the top providers of event accommodation in Leeds, here at Quebecs Luxury Apartments we’re well aware that Leeds is very much an all year round hub of activity. Here’s a round up of just some of the things happening in the coming month:

1st – 6th September – Shawshank Redemption @ Leeds Grand Theatre

The widely considered number one all-time movie, Stephen King’s classic story is being brought to the stage in a fantastic new production examining desperation, injustice, friendship and hope behind the claustrophobic bars of a maximum security penitentiary.

Starring TV’s Ian Kelsey and Patrick Robinson, this looks like being fantastic – tickets are available directly from the theatre, but book early to avoid disappointment.

5th September – Championship Boxing @ First Direct Arena

Josh Warrington will defend his WBC International & Commonwealth Featherweight titles against Joel Brunker at the first direct arena, Leeds on 5th September. The Leeds Warrior is defending his title for the third time and will be looking to add the Australian challenger to his impressive list of scalps that includes Rendall Munroe and Martain Lindsay.

Regular tickets, plus VIP and hospitality packages are still available from the link above.

6th September – Alan Carr at Leeds Grand Theatre

The much loved chatty man is back with his brilliant new show; ‘Yap Yap Yap’ – it’s already receiving race reviews and tickets are selling fast – get yours sooner rather than later to avoid missing out!

12th September – Leeds FC at Home to Brentford @ Elland Road

Leeds play hosts to Brentford in another top championship match at the famous Elland Road Stadium.

21st September – 31st October – Kiss Me Kate @ The Leeds Grand Theatre

Jo Davies makes a fantastic return to Opera North to direct the Company’s first production of Cole Porter’s iconic musical Kiss Me, Kate. There are various performance dates and times throughout the Autumn programme, including previews and pre-show talks. Be sure to check The Grand’s website for full details.

26th September – Rugby Union World Cup Canada V Italy @ Elland Road

27th September – Rugby Union World Cup USA V Scotland

Rugby fans are in for a treat as some of the best talent from around the globe come to Leeds’ Elland Road stadium to battle for the most coveted prize.
