1st – 3rd May – The Tour de Yorkshire 

Cycling fans are in for a real treat as racers compete in this three day event. Check out the website for full details of the route. This is a hugely popular event, so places to stay in Leeds book up fast – check availability sooner rather than later!


9th May – Richard Herring at City Varieties

Described by Chortle as ‘dependably funny’, this latest show from experienced comedian Richard Herring promises to be a real treat. Book your tickets now!


13th – 17th May – Disney on Ice at Leeds Arena

Disney fans of all ages will love this magical show. Be whisked away to the wintery wonderland of ‘Frozen’, with Elsa, Anna, Kristoff & Olaf, plus enjoy performances from The Little Mermaid, Tangled and more. Tickets start at £18.50 but they’re selling fast – book soon to avoid disappointment!


19th May – S Club 7 at Leeds Arena

Re-live your youth with S Club as they ‘bring it all back’ to Leeds Arena on the 19th. Tickets start at £35 and they’re going fast – seems there are quite a few fans excited for the trip down memory lane!


20th & 21st May – Tim Vine @ City Varieties

In his first stand up tour for four years, the man of a million puns is back with a bang. Book your tickets and get ready for a great night!


22nd May – Katharine Ryan @ City Varieties

This rising Canadian star is definitely one to watch – becoming well known in the UK thanks to appearances on Live at The Apollo, Mock the Week, QI and many others, her stand up show promises plenty of wit and killer lines.


24th May – Chas & Dave @ o2 Academy

The legendary duo are bringing back their unique blend of cockney rock and roll to the O2 Academy for one night only, and it promises to be one to remember! Playing all your favourites such as Rabbit, Ain’t No Pleasing You and Margate to the masses, it sounds as though a ‘right good knees up’ is guaranteed!


27th May – Dr Who Symphonic at Leeds Arena

This promises to be a real treat for fans of the iconic time lord and his many faces. The live show’s premier sold out in Australia and looks to be equally popular here in the UK. Featuring over 100 performers, including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and members of the BBC National Chorus of Wales, plus many of The Doctor’s most famous enemies – from Daleks to Cybermen! Ben Foster, who conducts and orchestrates the musical scores for the TV series is conducting the performance and tickets start at £20.


28th May – Hozier @ o2 Academy

After an incredible year which included an outstanding 20 weeks in the UK Top 40 with his single Take Me To Church and his self-titled debut album reaching the UK Top 5, Hozier is back with a new single From Eden and a UK tour – if you want to catch him at the O2 Academy, get your tickets asap – they’re selling fast.


30th May – BBC Philharmonic @ Leeds Town Hall

Featuring music by Ravel and Walton, conducted by Simon Wright, the BBC Philharmonic are joined by Leeds Festival Chorus & Leeds Philharmonic Chorus for this stunning classical delight. Tickets start at just £16, but do book early to avoid disappointment.
